Elizabeth McCracken, MSW, LICSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience and a passion for helping young adults face challenges, build resilience, and embrace opportunities for growth.
I specialize in the mental health needs of emerging adults - a pivotal phase marked by transition, identity development, and increasing independence. I’ve worked extensively with both college students and individuals outside of the college setting, gaining deep insight into the academic, social, and emotional challenges specific to this stage of life. I also have significant experience supporting student-athletes, helping them navigate these pressures while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics. I am energized by this work and the by young adults I am privileged to support.
I treat a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, self esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, identity exploration, grief and trauma. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to provide individualized, evidence-based care.
I believe that a strong therapetic relationship is essential to the work of therapy. I bring authenticity, warmth and humor to my work, with the goal of providing connection and perspective - even in difficult moments. My office is a place where clients can be themselves, find meaningful support, and embrace challenges, allowing them to grow and move forward with confidence.
